🎨 Do you love art? Are you looking for new artworks to hang in your home? Or maybe you're hungry for inspiration? Join “New Horizons” 🔭 - a celebration of art and creativity.

👉What? 🖼️ Art exhibition and silent auction of over 100+ drawings, paintings and sculptures, some of which start from just £5! Expect a lot of positive vibes, thought provoking artworks and great chats with other art lovers. It’s the last BFreak Art Exhibition in this academic year!

👉Where? 📌 The exhibition will be held in Long Gallery at Newcastle University, NE1 8QB (next to Hatton Gallery). However, the silent auction will be both online and in person. Come with your friends, enjoy the free wine and get inspired. Take home unique and colourful pieces at an affordable price.

👉When? 🗓️ Save the date - 17th of May 2023. This is when the silent auction and the art exhibition will happen, starting at 5pm to 9pm. However, the silent auction will be open online a few days earlier, so you can already bid on your favourite artworks. The silent auction will finish at 8PM and then you can take your favourite artworks home.

The silent auction already started and ends on May 17th at 8pm. The works will be sold only to people present at the exhibition on event evening (Wednsday). In case of the absence of the person with the highiest bid, the artwork will be sold to the next person with the highiest bid. Explore the deals and get up to 50% off per artwork:

Creative contest! This is a special occasion to inspire other people and win sculpture worth over £‎500! All you have to do is to submit your answer to the question below and come to the exhibition event.

The most inspiring story wins! There are no strict requirements. It can be a story of your creativity or the creativity of someone else. You can share something moving, short, long or funny. It can be a creative breakthrough moment of creativity that changed the course of your life or a very nice memory.

The results will be announced at the "New Horizons" event on 17th May 8pm in the Long Gallery. The author of the story has to be present in order to win the sculpture. Otherwise it will be handed over to the next most inspiring story.

The sculpture presents humanity striving to reach their aspirations. It is covered with copper spray. Some of the areas are painted with dark brown acrylics to give a better impression of an old metal. You can read the full story and vision of the sculpture here: ARTICLE.

Jakub Stadnik

Originally born in Poland, Jakub Stadnik is a Fine Art student at Newcastle University in the UK. His works and research are focused on creative thinking, biographies of exceptionally creative individuals and human brain. In his art practice he loves experimentation, following his imagination and most importantly inspiring his audience.

Jakub’s creative outcomes include human size sculptures, over one hundred abstract and surreal paintings, 12 art exhibitions in 3 countries (UK, Australia, Poland), 200+ hours of teaching his Creative Art Workshops and much more. His dream is to initiate a Global Creative Revolution where extreme creativity will become a norm and humanity will finally solve the mystery of our brains.
